Day of Shining Star Tells Meaningful Story

It was on February 16 of one year when Kim Jong Il made revolutionary activities at Kim Il Sung University.

Students requested Kim Jong Il with earnest to keep his birthday with them.

Reading their minds, Kim Jong Il thanked them for their sincerity and comradely love and said that he could not mark his birthday.

Kim Jong Il said that fatherly leader Kim Il Sung had never kept his birthday so far although he had devoted his all for the country and people. He said that he could not mark his birthday as the leader made laborious efforts for the country’s prosperity and the people’s well-being.

Kim Jong Il continued to say that a revolutionary could enjoy worthwhile life only when he had loyalty to the leader and that his life would be ever glorious only when it was dedicated to the leader.

That day, Kim Jong Il said that it was important to try to do their best to lighten Kim Il Sung’s concerns and pains and make him pleased and satisfied, which should be the starting point and invariable principle of revolutionaries’ activities and life.
